DLM (which stands for Darsh Lucero Meccanica), now DLM Aerospace, started up in the back of a small hangar in Dogfight Isle in 2007, as a maker of bespoke warbird replicas.
Several airplanes and helicopter laters, DLM Aerospace has now estabilished as a maker of quality aircraft with unique flying characteristics, ranging from light helicopters to regional passenger airplanes.
DLM Aerospace collaborated with some of the best firms in SL aviation; it is run by Darsh Lucero, who takes care of all aspects of each aircraft creation, from the drawing board to it first maiden flight.
With a background in RC flying in RL and a past as Flying Instructor and Aerobatic Pilot in SL, Darsh has flown and built a variety of flying machines, including an award-winning reusable single stage to orbit spacecraft (1st prize at Abbots Space Craft contest, 2010).
He run the premier Battlestar Galactica immersive simulation in Second Life, BSG47 Pacifica, for 4 years, covering a great deal of the building and technical aspects.
For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.
